Triple the fun

Adventure Cycling Association brought in a triple bicycle for us to clean and get ready for display. It was ridden in 1976 by Bill Bliss and his two young daughters (then ages seven and nine) on a cross-country bike trip with Bikecentennial (now Adventure Cycling).

The bike is surprisling light, has four chainrings in the rear, and sports disc brakes. Yep...1976 disc brakes. The bike also has cantilever brakes. The right brake lever controlled both disc brakes, and the left lever controlled the canti brakes. And to top it off, there's a matching frame pump.

Once cleaned up, the bike will be on display at the Adventure Cycling Association headquarters building in Missoula.
